Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, June 18, 2025 In an exciting announcement, Kia Middle East & Africa has commenced the Tasman Roadshow in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on June 17. As Kia’s first-ever foray into the pickup segment, attendees witnessed what makes the Tasman a disruptor in its class, which blends boldness with refinement, cutting-edge technology, and industry-first customisation.

Backed by two decades of Kia’s off-road research and heritage - shaped by its specialized military units - the Tasman is engineered for both modern adventurers and professionals. It combines rugged capability with SUV-like comfort, delivering a versatile pick-up that adapts seamlessly to every aspect of the driver’s lifestyle. Drawing on Kia’s military-grade expertise, the Tasman is built to tackle any challenge with its unwavering strength and durability.

The roadshow left attendees impressed with the Kia Tasman’s proven ability to conquer diverse landscapes, from city-streets to extreme off-road conditions. Showcased through rigorous testing, including 1,777 specific evaluations across more than 18,000 cycles, the vehicle showcased its unmatched durability and performance.

“Some trucks are built for work. Others for adventure. The Kia Tasman is built for both, because life today isn’t one-dimensional,” said Ahmed Soudodi, Vice President of Product Marketing, Kia Middle East & Africa. “The Kia Tasman is a game-changer that blends bold design with refinement, off-road DNA with everyday comfort, and power with personalisation. It speaks to a new generation of pickup owners who want a vehicle that’s as capable on the dunes as it is on the school run. With industry-first factory-backed customisation and SUV-inspired technology, the Kia Tasman redefines what’s possible in the pickup world, and creates a new culture around it. We’re excited to see how drivers across Saudi Arabia make the Tasman their own and push boundaries in every direction.”

The Kia Tasman: Equipped for any terrain

Designed with the region in mind, the Tasman is uniquely equipped to master Saudi Arabia’s diverse and challenging terrains. From the soaring dunes of Uruq Bani Ma’arid to the rugged volcanic fields of Harrat Khaybar, the Tasman delivers confident performance where it matters most. Its Dedicated Off-Road Drive Modes, tailored for Desert, Rock, Mud, Snow, combine with best-in-class ground clearance (252mm) and a 32-degree approach angle to ensure seamless handling across steep inclines, soft sands, and rocky paths. Features like Crawl Mode, Reinforced Underbody Protection, Ground View Monitor (GVM) and water wading capability (800mm) offer added control and durability, allowing drivers to venture deep into the Asir and Hijaz mountains or navigate through the wadis of Al-Ahsa with ease.

The Kia Tasman: Bold design meets refined comfort

The Kia Tasman is a paradoxical product of Kia’s Opposites United design philosophy, being fierce on the outside and refined on the inside with a muscular and elegant, yet rugged and sophisticated appearance. Its advanced LED lighting, Signature Daytime Running Lights and high-performance headlights, and tail light design all contribute to its improved visibility, distinctiveness and aesthetics. Its optimised body shape and aggressive front grille lend it a bold stance. The pickup is backed by Kia’s global engineering and reliability standards, with corrosion-resistant exterior finishes for longevity and high strength body materials for improved durability and safety. Additionally, the Kia Tasman’s width, height, and wheelbase are designed to offer best-in-class space and road presence.

The interiors combine luxury with comfort, with a dynamic infotainment system on a triple screen set-up, improved connectivity and smart features, and a powerful Harman/Kardon Premium sound system. Other interior features include a driver-centric cockpit, premium soft-touch materials, best-in-class legroom, ergonomic seats for long-haul comfort, customisable ambient lighting to personalise mood, smart storage solutions such as expandable storage space with fold-up rear seats, and much more.

The Kia Tasman: smart, safe and connected technology that works for you

The Tasman is Kia’s first model with the latest innovations inbuilt, including Kia’s Connect Car Services (CCS), making every drive safer, smarter and more convenient with 66 industry-leading features. The intelligent vehicle will enable drivers to have a complete perspective of their surroundings through the Surround View Monitor, Ground View Display and 360-degree parking sensors.

Further, the Tasman’s Forward Collision Avoidance (FCA 2.0), Blind-Spot View Monitoring (BVM), and Lane Keeping Assist work together to help prevent accidents before they happen, making every drive safer for the driver and everyone around them. And, with the Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA), there are no more ‘getting in and out of tight spaces’ concerns as the Kia Tasman can park itself while the driver stands and watches. What’s more, drivers no longer need to worry about losing connection with their vehicles, as features such as Connected Routing, Remote Commands, and Convenience Features enable real time route optimisation, traffic predictions, speed camera alerts, real-time weather updates and much more.

The Kia Tasman: Designed by you, backed by Kia

What truly sets the Tasman apart is its unprecedented level of factory-backed customisation, which no other truck brand offers yet in Saudi Arabia’s pickup segment. With 11 OEM accessories available at launch, including bead-lock styled wheels, canopies, side steps, sport bars and more, drivers can configure their pickup to meet the specific demands of work, adventure, or lifestyle from day one. Kia ensures these customisation options are seamlessly integrated into the vehicle’s original design, unlike aftermarket modifications that often feel tacked on. What’s more, they are included in the original invoice and can be financed along with the vehicle, making personalisation more accessible and hassle-free.

From multiple alloy wheel designs and exterior colours inspired by nature, to refined interior trims and colour schemes for higher-end variants, the Tasman allows every driver to express their personality without compromise, proving that no two Tasman drivers need to be the same.

The Kia Tasman will be available in both 2WD and 4WD configurations and offers a choice between two powerful engine options - a 2.5ℓ T-GDi gasoline engine (281ps / 422nm) paired with 8AT and a 2.2ℓ diesel engine (210ps / 440nm) paired with 6MT or 8AT options. This versatile lineup provides drivers with the flexibility to choose the engine that best suits their lifestyle, whether for everyday driving, towing, or off-road adventures.

The Kia Tasman will be available in Saudi Arabia starting Q3 2025. Prices for the diesel variant begin at a starting MSRP of SAR 127,900 for the LX MT 2WD trim, with the top-tier X-Pro+ AT 4WD priced at SAR 203,390. For the gasoline variant, prices start at SAR 130,890 for the LX AT 2WD trim, reaching up to SAR 198,990 for the fully loaded X-Pro+ AT 4WD. All prices are inclusive of 15% VAT.
