The new showroom adds to the existing Kia showroom in Khamis area and creates greater convenience to Kia customers and to mark the auspicious opening, Mr. Ahmed Bin Hindi, A. A. During the event, KIA launched two striking KIA Models 2015; the all-new eye-catching Kia Sorento and the stunning 2015 Kia full-sized MPV, The Grand Carnival.

The all-new Kia Sorento comes with a unique blend of style, practicality and technology, which builds on the success of the outgoing model. The new CUV’s smoother, swept-back profile and deeply sculpted surfaces introduce a higher level of sophistication for the third-generation model, delivering a premium look and feel, with more space and numerous innovative features.

The designers of the third generation Kia Sorento named their inspiration for the new car as ‘Street wolf’. Although the styling changes are evolutionary, they subtly alter the character of the new Sorento, highlighting its sleek, sinuous, profile, while creating a sophisticated appearance and ensuring the new model has a bolder on-the-road presence.

The new Sorento comes with a 3.3-liter multi-point injection (MPI) engine, 270 ps. It also features comfort, convenience and new technologies, enhanced refinement, improved powertrains, ride and handling, better passive and active safety.

Bin Hindi Motors, the distributor of KIA Motors in Bahrain, unveiled the new Grand Carnival MPV – a revamped model which aims to set a new standard for versatility and simplicity.

Chief design officer for Kia, Mr. Peter Schreyer says Grand Carnival’s CUV-like styling and proportions offer all of the functional convenience of the segment while defying its design limitations. In addition to innovative European-inspired design, the model boasts ample passenger and cargo room as well as a quiet and comfortable cabin.

Under the bonnet is a new Lambda gasoline direct injection 3.3-litre V6 engine, which replaces the 3.5-litre V6 in the outgoing model. The 3.3-litre engine delivers more power than its predecessor, boasting 270ps at 6,400 rpm, and it has been tuned for enhanced mid-range torque, offering 32.4kgf.m. at 5,200rpm. The new engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission tuned for balanced control, power and efficiency. The Grand Carnival comes with a five-year or unlimited mileage warranty from Bin Hindi Motors.
